From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. Brazil (pronounced /brəˈzɪl/ ( listen); Portuguese: Brasil, IPA: [bɾaˈziw]), officially the Federative Republic of Brazil (Portuguese: República Federativa do Brasil, listen (help·info)), is the largest country in South America and the only Portuguese-speaking country in the Americas. It is the world's fifth largest country, both by geographical area and by population. Bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the east, Brazil has a coastline of over 7,491 kilometers (4,655 mi). It is bordered on the north by Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and the French overseas department of French Guiana; on the northwest by Colombia; on the west by Bolivia and Peru; on the southwest by Argentina and Paraguay and on the south by Uruguay. Numerous archipelagos form part of Brazilian territory, such as Fernando de Noronha, Rocas Atoll, Saint Peter and Paul Rocks, and Trindade and Martim Vaz. Brazil was a colony of Portugal from the landing of Pedro Álvares Cabral in 1500 until its independence in 1822. Initially independent as the Brazilian Empire, the country has been a republic since 1889, although the bicameral legislature, now called Congress, dates back to 1824, when the first constitution was ratified. Its current Constitution defines Brazil as a Federal Republic. The Federation is formed by the union of the Federal District, the 26 States, and the 5,564 Municipalities. The Brazilian economy is the world's eighth largest economy by nominal GDP and the ninth largest by purchasing power parity. Brazil is one of the world's fastest growing major economies. Economic reforms have given the country new international recognition. Brazil is a founding member of the United Nations, the G20, Mercosul and the Union of South American Nations, and is one of the BRIC Countries. Brazil is also home to a diversity of wildlife, natural environments, and extensive natural resources in a variety of protected habitats. From Wikipedia under the

Please, I need your help, by education and kindness! What hours in Brazil will I watch the opening ceremony of Vancouver 2010 live? Where will I watch the TV live at Internet? Please, give me the site for watching live! Thank you for your attention, understanding and help! Asked by Gustavo Costa - Wed Feb 10 08:25:14 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Vancouver is located in British Columbia, Canada and uses the Pacific time zone. As a general rule, Vancouver is (dependent on where you live in Brazil) four to six hours behind. This means that if you live in Manaus, the ceremony will start at 10.00pm, if you live in Recife, 11.00pm and if you live in Rio midnight. The IOC are responsible for all television feeds and have ruled that you can only watch live feeds if a television channel in your country is able to show the Games on television. No channel, means no feeds. Answered by Harry Hayfield - Thu Feb 11 05:53:58 2010 Is it possible to get a job teaching in Brazil as a foreighner? Q. Answered by mictrmbl - Fri Jul 11 03:53:59 2008 What do you think it is the formula for England to beat Brazil?
Q. England has never beaten Brazil in official games( It has always had problems beating Brazil in World Cups). Only in a couple of friendly games England defeated Brazil in the year 1990, I think. If they meet again in the next World Cup, what do you think England should do to beat Brazil? Right now I think Brazil has become a very good team again. Does not help, does it? And also I think English are educated with high level of discipline and they play football like that too. Many times what makes a good player is not having discipline at all, but let creativity flow.
